My journey toward becoming healthy began about 2 ½ years ago. It started with a decision to join a gym and begin to put me and my health first. This was by no means an easy decision as I work full time, am a wife as well as a mother of two young children. But I was not alone on this journey as I had the support of my family and Joy Murphy from EnJoy Fitness as my trainer.
From day one Joy was there with me every step of the way. She pushed me to my limits, encouraged me to keep going and celebrated my successes. Since I started with her I have lost 45 pounds, ran several races, including my first half marathon last October and am training for The Donna half marathon in February.
What is also exciting is that through her help our entire family has gotten healthier. We all eat better, my children exercise more and my husband, Jake has lost nearly 30 pounds. Joy is a terrific trainer who is extremely passionate about what she does. I would recommend her to anyone who is ready to achieve their goals whether it is weight loss or training for a race. She certainly has been an important part of achieving mine!
